so one time. Mike Watt had solo cd some out about 4 yrs ago. I opened @ the rec shop & listened to it. it was sooo bad my friend said i didnt have to buy it.
early firehose are good, but all you really need is "ragin' full on" and the "candle and flame" ep that came out around the same time. i have never heard "if'n", but trying to get into firehose via "flying the flannel" is not the right move.
I didn't like fIREHOSE as a teen.

I think you need to be a bass player to dig Mike Watt in any of his incarnations.
Though, honestly, with your love of pop music, I would guess you know that Watt played on 6 songs on Kelly Clarkson's album, My December?

i agree, Pete . they had a bunch of songs in old santa cruz sk8 videos. there sound just annoyed me
