When this record came out I thought Botch was the greatest thing to happen to hardcore. Yet nothing else they released impressed me the way The John Birch Conspiracy Theory did. The other stuff is alright. Minus the Bear is alright. But this record. Wow.

Botch - The John Birch Conspiracy Theory. Mike. Used.

And Another

More Brother's Keeper than you ever thought you needed.

No Way To Justify

I had been debating whether or not to pick up a Brother's Keeper release or two for nostalgia's sake. I was warned against it.

Thankfully I got a few records in a lot. And I can't say I hate it. The vocals are as weird as they ever were. It's probably just the nineties nostalgia talking, but I am enjoying it.

Brother's Keeper - Self-Fulfilling Prophecy. Mike. Used.

Here Goes

I might have posted this. I might not have. I'm too lazy to look. Someone asked for it. So I obliged.

Burn - Cleanse. Used.

Getting Big

I feel like It's A Shame About Ray was the breakthrough, but "Into Your Arms" was the song that made its way to regular peoples' ears.

The Lemonheads - Come On Feel The Lemonheads. AKA Music. Bargain bin.

I'm pretty sure this is out of print. Maybe Bobb has boxes of the Blacklisted Demo stashed away, but I don't think so.

Blacklisted - Demo. Mike. Used.

Following Up

The first solo endeavor is so successful this one is a little bit underwhelming. But worth a listen. If your Spice Girl interests run as deep as mine.

Melanie C - Reason. Used.

Go Buy It

Burn. New.

More Moz

The Morrissey posts seem to go over well. Everyone wants a B-side.

Morrissey - We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful. Used.

After Revenge

The Peter Hook family of bands will always be the weakest of the bunch.

Monaco - What Do You Want From Me? AKA Music. Bargain bin.

Hoosiers II

I don't know where Unconquered was from.

Birthright/Unconquered. Mike. Used.

I don't know why it sticks with me, but I remember chatting with Kurt Catalyst at the infamous Cleveland Fest.

Birthright. Mike. Used.

Twenty-Five Cents

During the late-1990s/early-2000s I was buying releases of any UK band that had the smallest of blurbs in the overseas music press. For the most part, nothing was a "bad" buy. But a lot of forgettable ones.

That's how I ended up with some Haven discs.

Ten years later I came across a follow up.

Haven - All For A Reason. AKA Music. Bargain bin.

So Late

As a Sub Pop obsessive in the nineties, Friends of Dean Martinez was a band I often saw while flipping through the mail-order catalog.

I never bought a record and this purchase is the first time I ever listened to them.

Not what I expected. But not bad.

Friends of Dean Martinez - The Shadow of Your Smile. AKA Music. Bargain bin.

How about that hockey?

(And for the purposes of this post I'm considering Abnegation Pittsburgh rather than Erie.)

Abnegation/Chapter. Mike. Used.

Time Flies

I feel like I bought this a lot more recently than September.

Girls Against Boys - (I) Don't Got A Place. AKA Music. Bargain bin.

I don't really buy a lot of bootlegs. But I keep stumbling on Black Grape bootlegs. And I can't help but buy them.

Black Grape - Shake Well Before Listening. AKA Music. Bargain bin.

My friend Mike took a job in Nevada. During the course of packing for his cross country move he decided to free up some space by getting rid of some records.

Knowing our shared love of nineties hardcore I was more than happy to help out.

Abnegation - Jihad. Mike. Used.

End Of A Year. Deathwish Inc. New.

Dirty Hippie

I've decided to embrace my inner hippie. I am in the process of purchasing the studio output the Grateful Dead. I picked up this greatest hits to hold me over.

Sleigh Bells - Reign of Terror. New.

Grimes - Visions. New.

Ho Hum

I really like the LP on Sub Pop. But a lot of the other stuff has been pretty underwhelming.
