Hardline

I appreciate Victory Records taking the time to release the Raid discography. Which I'm sure is no longer in print.

But I love having the Hardline Records release of Above the Law so much more.

Go Buy It

The Cardigans - Rise & Shine. Amazon.com. Used.

Not Mine

I don't know anything about this band. Cathy bought it. I enjoy it.

She's better at "modern" indie rock.

Confusion

There are times when I can't really figure out the name of a seven inch. This is one of those times.

Let's go with Burn Sassy Idiots.

And enjoy some covers by Endpoint.

Scratch that. After further review of the cover art I'm going with Idiots.

Endpoint - Idiots. eBay. Used.

BOO!

I like how The Boo Radleys aren't shy about using "BOO" in so many of their song, EP and album titles.

The Boo Radleys - Boo Up! E.P. Amazon.com. Used.

The Mac

At some point you discover you like at least one Fleetwood Mac song. And it blossoms from there.

Fleetwood Mac - Greatest Hits. AKA Music. Bargain bin.

Rick Perry

I didn't know anything about Texas until I picked up The Hush on a whim after seeing it in an import section.

I really liked the album. After some investigation I learned that Texas had a number of releases prior to The Hush.

Late to the party.

Is Sharleen Spiteri still hot?

Texas - Mothers Heaven. AKA Music. Bargain bin.

Suicide

I remember being very surprised when they found Stuart Adamson dead.

Probably because I never thought of Big Country as a mopey band. Reserving rock n roll suicide (in my mind) for the Kurt Cobains and Ian Curtises of the world.

And I realize that doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of mental illness. But I can't help what I think.

Big Country - Non! Amazon.com. Used.

Fade Away

Last night Cathy asked what happened to Echobelly. I wasn't sure. I knew they released things through the early-2000s. But I suppose they just faded away. Like so many Britpop greats.

Great to me at least.

Echobelly - King of the Kerb. Amazon.com. Used.

More and More

With only two full-lengths I didn't realize how much Black Grape material was out there. Here's more.

A Little Help Here

I have a nice Big Chief seven inch collection I would like to share with you. Sadly I am unable to find digital copies of the tracks.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go-Go

I've been aware of "Go-Go" for some time. But it was only after a trip to D.C. this past spring I decided to explore it.

Bustin' Loose was step one.

Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers - Bustin' Loose. iTunes.
