Taking into account sleeves and vinyl colors, I am convinced there are forty-two versions of this release.

Growing Stronger: A Positive Hardcore Compilation. Mike. Used.

"New" Releases: Go Buy It

Best Coast - The Only Place. New.

I don't know anything about this band. Nothing at all. But that Upstate New York address on the back of the sleeve was calling my name. (And the slaughterhouse image on the front is generally a good sign for the music within.)

Contempt - A Call For Revolution. Mike. Used.

Don't Lie

You're thanking me for this.

Jennifer Lopez - On The 6. Used.

One Track Mind

It's so much nicer having this in multi-track form rather than the one-track featured on Content With Dying.

What was with the one-track discs in the nineties? Maybe it wasn't common but just happened to occur with two of my favorite bands, 108 (Holyname) and Chokehold (Content With Dying).

Chokehold - Instilled. Miked. Used.

Been Around

Nitzer Ebb has been around for so long. It's a shame I only started dabbling in their music over the past few years.

Nitzer Ebb - I Give To You. Used.

I enjoy Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as much as any pop listener/Disney Channel watcher. But it would be so much better to have Dannii Minogue on The X-Factor.

Dannii Minogue - I Begin To Wonder. Used.

One seems like the standard Walk All Night pressing. But I'm not sure about the Notorious B.I.G. sleeve. Anyone?

Cold World. Mike. Used.

Go Buy It

New Order - Power, Corruption & Lies: The Factory Years. Used.

This Sort Of Music

I've really been enjoying "this sort of music" for the past year or so. Dum Dum Girls. Best Coast. Beach House.

It's not exactly the same. But I lump it together in my head.

Dum Dum Girls - He Gets Me High. AKA Music. Bargain bin.

I just realize this record is bent/cracked. Bummer.

Coalesce. Mike. Used.

Eighties Late

Gary Numan never stopped releasing. And his albums are consistently listenable.

Gary Numan - Black Heart. Used.

The Gap

Like Champion, Carry On is another band that existed during my hardcore "gap." I don't know much about them. I never saw them. So I'm late to the party.

Carry On - Roll With the Punches. Mike. Used.

Do you know what makes me happy? Manchester City winning the Premier League.

Ned's Atomic Dustbin - Happy. Used.

I think because Count Our Numbers came out during a "down" period of hardcore for me I never appreciated Champion as much as I should have. I'm glad I got a chance to give this record another shot.

Champion - Count Our Numbers. Mike. Used.

Well I...

I know I posted some BTGOG releases. I thought this was one of them. It wasn't.

It's my favorite though.

By the Grace of God - For the Love of Indie Rock. Mike. Used.

Post Haste

I was thinking Buried Alive was the Scott Vogel band I listened to least. But then I realized that honor belonged to Terror.

Buried Alive

I need the Buried Alive LP. And I need to work on my Terror collection.

Buried Alive - Six Month Face. Mike. Used.

I gave you, the reader, a well-deserved break from Brother's Keeper. But they are back.

I thought Moloko was something completely different from what they actually are. I am not sure why I thought this. And because of that it it took me until fairly recently to finally listen to them.

Moloko - Familiar Feeling. Used.

"New" Releases: Go Buy It

Agitator - Walls Closing In. Six Feet Under. New.

Reuniting The Band

The last time I saw Holly Johnson was when VH1 was trying to convince him to take part in a Frankie Goes to Hollywood reunion. If I remember correctly, he balked. Good for him.

He is a fascinating individual.

Holly Johnson - Disco Heaven. AKA Music. Bargain bin.
