Outside of a few compilation tracks, I didn't listen to them. Even with my love of the Judgment Night soundtrack.
This was at the height of their popularity. Their relevance.
I ignored them.
If asked to venture a guess. A reason why. I think I perceived them as "hippies."
Viewing a lot of other Seattle bands of the era as more "punk." Or more "metal." More acceptable to me.
In the end. They were all "rock." Though I didn't see it like that.
The name. Something about the name. The name had me thinking "hippie."
Like many things. No real reason. Definitely no good reason.
