It was a real event when The Rocky Horror Picture Show was released on VHS. I think MTV aired specials in conjunction with the release. But I might be mistaken. The best part about the release is that it allowed me to become a fan without ever needing to attend a midnight showing. I don't like the idea of crowd participation at a film.
