Turn of the Century Nostalgia

It had been a while.

So I thank Alex for asking about Flash Flash Flash and the EP.

A good reason to give both a listen.

Both hold up well. Very well. Better than expected.

The Explosion. Generation Records. Used.

Alright, really dug the ep when it came out. Flash Flash Flash is a great record start to finish, I still listen to it a ton these days. Everything after that is suspect: the ep on Rev was a kiss off, Sick of Modern Art was ok at best, the major label record is nauseating, and the unreleased LP is a disappointment. But Flash Flash Flash...oh man.

My brother and I took the PATH into NYC to see them at the Wetlands, they were excellent. A week later was 9/11 and not long after that the Wetlands closed for good.

I don't know if i ever heard the Revelation release. S.O.M.A. is so-so as you say. I don't hate Black Tape. I put it on the same level.

And if I'm not mistaken I believe you are suggesting The Explosion may or may not have cause 9/11.
