Thanks Tsunami!

Last year I missed an exit going to my friend's house in Arlington. I took the next exit, got somewhat turned around, and I was lost.

Driving around I recognized the Arlington Memorial Bridge from the cover of this record, and managed to use that landmark to get where I needed to go.

Tsunami - Souvenir Folder of Beautiful Arlington, VA. eBay. Used.

Newer Sounds

It sounds so cliche these days, but for fans of My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Lush. Check it out.

Beliefs - Catch My Breath/Violets. iTunes.

Never

This is another band that I never really listened to during their "heyday."

I like them. I like them a good bit. But I don't love them. There is something about their sound that doesn't entirely appeal to me. But there is enough there that I keep buying releases.

The Wonder Stuff - Never Loved Elvis. Amazon.com. Used.

Thank You For Being A Friend

This. This I'm liking a lot. I need more.

Golden Grrrls - New Pop/The Red Sea. iTunes.

Window

Moby. 1993 through 1995. That's the real shit. Not that the stuff before or after is bad. It's just not my favorite.

Moby - Move. AKA Music. Bargain bin.

Names

I know they are from Australia. But for some reason any time I see "Jagwar Ma" written out, I assume they're South African. Apparently I read "Jagwar Ma" as Afrikaans?

In the end it doesn't really matter where my brain tells me they are from, contrary to what I know. Because they are very good. On any continent.

Jagwar Ma - The Throw. iTunes.

Obsessed

When the "Lovefool" video dropped, I didn't think there would ever be anyone hotter than Nina Persson.

Watching it again for this post, I am reminded why I thought that.

The Cardigans - Lovefool. Amazon.com. Used.

Dance! Rock!

I am really enjoying this act from Finland. The single at least.

K-X-P - Melody. iTunes.

(Un)Reliable

I think New Age Records repressed some Trial records a year or so ago. I assumed I would have ordered them. It appears I did not.

Although there is a 50% chance I did and they just haven't been sent.

Trial - I'm Still Screaming: Live. Mike. Used.

BMX Bandits

Because their name is Theme Park, I expected them to sound like BMX Bandits.

Terrible logic.

Theme Park - Wax EP. iTunes.
