The Stone Roses reunion shows interest me less than seeing Ian Brown again.

It's unlikely I'll get to see either.

I can't find the disc itself in my "piles to be filed" so no photograph.

I'm fascinated by this band. A strange amalgam of psyche, rock and I guess what people are referring to as "occult metal." I cannot stop listening. Or watching.

Sub Pop Singles Club

I try to pick up any Sub Pop Singles Club releases that pop up on eBay or that I happen to stumble on in record stores.

There are some classic bands on these releases.

There are also some bands I never heard of before and will likely never hear after.

Velvet Monkeys are one such band.

There are elements of Django Django that remind me of why I would get real excited for Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, etc. a few years ago. Not that they're the same. Not by any stretch. There are just aspects that lump them together in my brain.

I regret not going to see them at Union Transfer a few months ago.

It's a shame I've waited so long to buy up the XTC discography. Their "known" singles don't really do them justice.
