Beyond the Long Hair and Dirty Clothes

Outside of a few compilation tracks, I didn't listen to them. Even with my love of the Judgment Night soundtrack.

This was at the height of their popularity. Their relevance.

I ignored them.

If asked to venture a guess. A reason why. I think I perceived them as "hippies."

Viewing a lot of other Seattle bands of the era as more "punk." Or more "metal." More acceptable to me.

In the end. They were all "rock." Though I didn't see it like that.

The name. Something about the name. The name had me thinking "hippie."

Like many things. No real reason. Definitely no good reason.
