Late senior year of high school/early freshman year of college I had a great Strife hood.

They weren't my favorite band of the era, but I liked them enough. I loved that hood. I sold that hood.

I keep hoping it will pop up on Tee Till Death.

I was at this show. I was at one of the shows. I forgot there was a second show. I'm not sure which of the two I attended.

It was a benefit and a book release.

I still don't own the book.

Taking Tony Out of the Equation

Tony Brummel may rip off bands. His business practices may be suspect. He might even be a dick.

But for a period Victory Records put out a lot of great releases. At least to me.

To purists. Not so much.

Integrity. Earth Crisis. Snapcase. (One Life Crew.)

Were some dismissed as metal? Sure. But they were hardcore to me. Hardcore to most people. At the time. Everyone has a case of denial these days.

Only the Strong MCMXCIII. I had thought the track listing was off. But upon further listen. Maybe not. For Livewire.
