I saw The Get Up Kids once.
I can't remember who else played. Mineral possibly. Copper possibly. Although they might have been a separate show. Or two separate shows.
I drove from Syracuse to Ithaca. Unless it was freshman year. In that case I got a ride.
I saw a lot of good bands at the Cornell Community Room. Bands on the lighter side of hardcore. If that was your thing. It was mine.

I saw them once too, at the time, didn't like or understand it, but lately that's changed. It's funny how some of the kids I work with who were maybe 7 or 8 at the time they were getting started LOVE them now. Makes me feel old...
Did you go on the Pottsdam trio? Jimmy Eat World and the Get Up Kids, winter of 97/98 I believe. Although it could've been the year before.
I missed out on the Pottsdam journey. I may or may not have been at Syracuse at the time. I was flunking in and out so many times, who knows.
