O Canada

I feel them slowly slipping into obscurity, but Chokehold are a nineties favorite.

I was supposed to see them once. But the show was shut down.

So I never got to see them.

Which is a shame, because I don't see a reunion anywhere on the horizon.

  1. Where to start with Chokehold?

I saw them on their last tour, probably one of their last shows. Spring '96? It was a bit much, just a big crowd on stage, couldn't really here the vocals, etc.

Can you imagine Chokehold with decent production? I can't...that was part of their aura. Just put the songs on wax and play some shows.

I haven't listened to them in forever; when I went to listen to them this morning, I realized I had no Chokehold on my iPod.

  2. I think the poor production was by design.

Gravity and Ebullition releases has better production.

I've been listening to them a bit since posting this yesterday. They really kind of suck, but I can't help but still love them.

I can't think of another band from the era that was playing that style with lefty lyrics. I'm sure they exist, but I can't come up with one right now.

    Chokehold coming your way shortly.
