What More Can I Say?

They were a band I was supposed to like.

I never liked.

I tried to like.

I wanted to like.

Couldn't like.

I didn't get them.

Or the appeal.

I would re-evaluate. Every year or so. For over fifteen years.

I still didn't like.

Until 2007. They finally made sense.

I still hate Beat Happening. Maybe in five years I'll come around.

    Longtime SY fans may disagree, but check out "Sonic Nurse" and "Rather Ripped"—more recent albums that are simultaneously melodic and dissonant. "Incinerate" makes me wanna go destroy something. And "Stones" rocks. Get it? huh-huh

    Now that I've developed an appreciation I enjoy the noisy and experimental aspects of the band.

    I haven't explored the more accessible releases. Very much. But I will definitely do so.
